Good interview. There needs to be more conversation like this. I wish that more men would take the issues seriously–women’s involvement in the church. Real change is not going to happen without male allies. I have found that many churches in my area are presenting a pro-woman stance verbally, but not acting on it. They will write in their position statements that women can teach, etc, but then do nothing to invite women to speak. To me that is worse than just being blantant about not having women in leadership roles. It presents a pretense of openness and support that is not really there.
